What is the difference between Camp Kenya Ltd and the Camp Kenya Trust?
Camp Kenya Ltd is a limited company and was established in partnership with a rural African community situated on community land. It accommodates gap year students, school expeditions and grown up gappers. Camp Kenya travellers engage in a range of community and wildlife tourist initiatives as part of a wider adventure package that includes mountain expeditions, water sport activities and game viewing on safari.
The Camp Kenya Trust was established out of necessity to support the community development projects and the wildlife conservation projects run by Camp Kenya Ltd. Previously, it was impossible to donate money to support this vital work as any money given to Camp Kenya Ltd would be regarded as income and valuable contributions would be heavily taxed. By donating money into the Camp Kenya Trust, your donation is tax exempt which means that every penny of your contribution goes directly towards the people and projects that need it most.
